Time for a proper heart-to-heart blog don't you think?
I'm almost positively certain that the majority of VCE graduates have had difficulty deciding on preferences. This is my story:
Obviously my parents are Asian hence... Actually my dad hasn't said a word about my ENTER so I'm assuming he is absolutely clueless about my academic life. My mum on the other hand... haha... oh boy, is she a tight Asian - -" She knows that I know that she wants me to go to Monash and study something along the lines of commerce. I've given her a flat refusal yet she still wants me to go to M-O-N-A-S-H. Monash. Monash University. Did you hear that? What? MONASH! Say it again! No.
I've pretty much ignored everything she has said because from my point of view, she wants at least one child to attend an exceptional university and to be able to brag about it (mainly to HER friends, relatives).
Personally I have nothing against Monash. I was looking at doing food science and nutrition at Deakin because Monash had chemistry as a pre-requisite which I failed in year 11. After a good talk with a pharmacist I work with, I've taken aboard the advice she has given me which is much more helpful and useful than my mum's pressuring and lectures. I've now chosen health science at Monash because, afterall, I can only go down from there.
I thought finishing secondary college would make things easier but I think it's just the beginning of the avalanche.
Quote of the day:
Me: Cut your nails you fucking girl.
Brother: No... No... I'm a wolf...
